Every Thursday at Rafie’s Flat, London Fields, Hackney
A weekly candlelit gathering weaving together mantra, music, meditation, and presence. These sessions are a chance to connect with yourself and others - expand your expressive potential - and access the stillness and divinity within via the magic of voice and sound - all in community & communion.
🌬️ We start with breath
We arrive with yogic breathing exercises to drop into the body and release tension.
🪷 We sound together in freeform
Everyone brings their authentic self - whether you are happy, sad, or everything in between and beyond. We allow the presence of the room to take its own sound and vibration.
🎶 Evolving to mantra and rainbow songs
We sing — together — simple healing mantras from different traditions. You don’t need to “know how” to sing. This is about expression & healing, not performance.
🎤 Optional sharing circle
For those who wish to lead their own songs & mantra. We encourage music that involves group participation rather than singular performances.
🕯️ Every Thursday, 7:00–9:30pm
🔔 Please arrive on time — doors close at 7:15pm to protect the container.
🧣Bring a water bottle, cozy layers, and anything that helps you feel grounded.
This space is open to all — beginners, seekers, skeptics, singers and the shy. Come as you are. Ring #6 twice to open both gates. Note the second gate can be a bit finnicky.
Guidelines
All guidelines are here to be broken; that said:
Everyone can sound, even if you’ve never sung
All types of sound and voice are welcome
Explore your edges, whilst expressing your boundaries
We are aiming for full expression of the holistic body
Try not to compare with others. Try not to rate others’ expression
If you are louder than others, try to blend into the whole
Silence is encouraged after a song, rather than clapping
You are invited to bring your own songs & mantras, if there is time
This is an inner practice, so focus on yourself, as part of the whole
You’re encouraged to focus on feelings rather than thoughts
You’re encouraged to own your experience and opinions
